XOutput vs. Outcome

One of the frustrating things about life for many people is the disconnect between their efforts and their rewards. Many people work far more than 40 hours a week and still struggle to get by. Many  managers work late nights for their companies only to get passed up at the next promotion. It can get really easy to watch the years fly by and not see any significant improvements to your life.

Here's the thing, some people expect to get more tomorrow doing the same thing they did today. Good luck.
What are you reaching for?
Many people expect to get recognized for the extra effort they put into work, they're a little closer, but I'm sure you've seen where this theory fails.

It's about output vs. outcome. If a million dollars appears every time you nod your head, do you think people would care that you didn't do a lot of work to make that happen? Haters will hate, but one of life's rules is rewarding for outcomes.

Translating your hard work into greater outputs is very simple. You can start it today, it's not hard to do and you'll notice the results immediately.

Here's how.

Do you like to write? Great, grab a notebook. Prefer to type? Open up Word or Google Docs.

Carve 10 minutes out before you go to bed tonight. Reflect on the day. What went well? What went wrong? Most importantly, ask "Did I move closer to my goals?" and "What do I need to do tomorrow to get there?".

Taking the time to be intentional about why you are doing what you're doing is the key to making sure your efforts are creating outcomes. Unlike all the other "success tricks", this one doesn't take years to bear fruit, you'll notice it the moment you wake up.

Once you do it, please post back here to encourage other people to try it out- some people are stubborn like that.
